Programme unification

Te Pūkenga network partners (institutes of technology and polytechnics) have worked collaboratively to develop a unified programme of study (not including programmes of industry training at this time) for each of the following qualifications:

• 2411 New Zealand Certificate in Hairdressing (Level 3)
• 2413 New Zealand Certificate in Hairdressing (Professional Stylist) (Level 4)

The unified programmes of study will be delivered by our Te Pūkenga institutes of technology or polytechnics that currently offer these qualifications from 2024, subject to approval and accreditation.

We want to ensure the unified programme of study will work for all our current and future partners and communities. Therefore, during this socialisation phase, we are inviting you as network kaiako to provide feedback on the draft programmes. This gives you an early opportunity to view the draft programmes and consider how well they align with your current programmes. Note that wider engagement with ākonga, kaimahi, industry and community partners will happen later, once we have responded to your feedback on these draft programmes.

Feedback for the Socialisation phase of this programme has now closed. Wide consultation will be undertaken in October and kaiako will have another opportunity to provide feedback during this phase.
