Programme unification

Te Pūkenga network partners (Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics) have been working to unify programmes of study for each of the following qualifications: 

• 2740 New Zealand Diploma in Wellness and Relaxation Massage (Level 5)
• 2741 New Zealand Diploma in Remedial Massage (Level 6)

The unified programmes of study will be delivered by Te Pūkenga Institutes of Technology or Polytechnics that currently offer these qualifications from Semester 1, 2024, subject to approval and accreditation.   

We want to ensure the unified programmes of study will work for all our current and future ākonga, partners and communities.

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback during the recent consultation process for the unified Level 5 and 6 Massage programmes. 

We have now closed consultation and are making programme updates in response to the feedback.  We will then work through the final stages of approval and accreditation.
