Assistance for tertiary learners for online learning

May 2, 2020 | 1 min read

The Government has today announced a tertiary technology access fund to assist eligible learners to continue their education during the Covid-19 pandemic.

This is great news for students and tertiary education organisations and will ensure all those learners with inadequate technology and impacted by Covid-19 can now continue their education.  Vulnerable learners will be the first priority.

It is also is a step towards our vision of providing a more flexible and accessible way of learning that gives everyone the opportunity to participate and succeed.

Students who require technological assistance to continue their education should speak directly to their tertiary provider about their needs.

The Government has asked the NZIST to distribute funds to its subsidiaries and we are working through this process with them.
